Words cannot describe the gratitude that I felt at the birth of each of my children. It is the most purpose-driving event that can happen in the life of a man, to have a child that he becomes responsible for.
Each decision that we make as fathers, will impact not just our lives in very real and powerful ways, but also the lives of those that we provide for. When we choose to view each decision as an opportunity to learn, we empower ourselves by learning from each failure to do better next time. We are always given opportunities to grow and learn from not just our own decisions, but also of those around us.
To decide to be humble – willingly accept that you do not know it all, and cannot do it all – you will learn more powerfully how to be more than you were before with each decision you do make. We are all in this together – which is why these messages are shared as they are.
Progress is the outcome when learning with every decision is the goal. Failure just becomes opportunity…
